PBN Daily News: Spoiled, Grid Attack Thwarted, and Animal Fat

[00:00:04] You're listening here to PBN. Your path back to stability here Come one, come all those of you who are dedicated to the sufficiency of audio entertainment Video is king they tell me the video shorts the YouTube shorts the heroine of entertainment is king

[00:00:50] But I invite you to the audio world the world of the working class the world where Staring at the phone is not always an option the world in Which we all believe in the sufficiency of audio entertainment slip the phone in the pocket

[00:01:10] Toe the line lift the weights run the miles weed the garden We don't have time to stare at the phone all the time To watch the video so instead The AM radio took us into the podcast age and the podcast age has been

[00:01:30] phenomenal, and you know it is a blessing to be as I always say Steering the mast of this great ship called the prepper broadcasting network. It is I Coming to you today live Feeling kind of silly feeling kind of silly feeling happy to be here and

[00:01:56] wanting to talk to you about the majesty of America and All that we take for granted I'm gonna tell you a business story That is important for all Americans to hear now emit the chaos that is happening all over the nation all over the world

[00:02:19] I do encourage you to look out your window and see that You know there's likely a soft breeze hitting the tree leaves or the tree line or maybe just a little dandelion In your yard whatever your situation is i'm always reminded

[00:02:37] As I broadcast about chaos and so on and so forth that you know life goes on Life goes on and for the prepared life is usually pretty damn good You know we get the level off the anxiety and things like like that pardon me knowing that

[00:02:52] You know we've taken the steps to be ready We live in the greatest nation on earth Despite the fact that the government has turned tyrannical Despite the fact that the lizards the lizard overlords want to control us. They hate Americans probably more than anything because we have guns

[00:03:11] We can protect our rights. We have documentation. We have Tears of government designed to protect We have the litigation, you know What a pain in the ass Americans are to A group of people who would like to control the world

[00:03:28] Can you imagine a greater thorn in their side than an armed population of rebellious? adventurous risk takers Who just you know, they're not gonna play nice They're not gonna play nice with the bug eating in the no cars by 2025

[00:03:44] No flying no kids don't make any babies don't have a dog no steak No beer. No, you're right And these damn Americans are just they're just giving us just an enormous national Flag draped middle finger to all our great plans

[00:04:07] That's that's America, baby. That I mean that's us, you know That I got yeah, I don't want to go too far off in a tangent because this is one of those topics. I can really wax on and wax off but I uh

[00:04:24] I am the illustrator the main illustrator the world of ready if for those of you don't know the world of ready is my Children's book and there's no other children's book like it. Let's just make it quick and easy

[00:04:37] The world of ready available on amazon is a book about prepping talking to your kids about preparedness in a magical world with magical everything Buy it If you if you're sitting at work or if you're sitting on your cell phone and you're thinking to yourself

[00:04:51] I want to make the in routes with my kids on prepping But every time I bring my bug out bag out or something like that they Can I play on the ipad can I play on the nintendo switch? You know what I mean? um

[00:05:04] And you got young kids who are into colorful and magical things This this is the book. That's why the book was made this way. I this is exactly what I wanted And I was lucky enough to meet an illustrator from Bangladesh who just luckily through fiver

[00:05:19] Just trying to get the project up and running. I've been working with another illustrator and and as great as she is She's living a full life Things don't get done quick enough that whole thing. You know what I mean?

[00:05:31] um, and I wanted to get this ball rolling because Generational preparedness is important to me So I find this amazing artist in Bangladesh and and you know, she's both passionate about the project and passionate about learning the skills of digital and uh Digital art the whole thing

[00:05:51] And she took my ideas and and what's What's really hard to do folks is to take a person's ideas and make them better Take about persons sparse Texts and sparse conversations and turn them into a world That's even better than they imagine and that's exactly what alisha did

[00:06:12] She's amazing. She is the person for the job now I had been getting messages strange messages from fiver about internet issues and things like that affecting our ability to communicate I had no idea because you know There's enough world events going on In Bangladesh

[00:06:41] It's so wild because this happens. You don't even realize it, right? In Bangladesh there were massive protests government, you know overthrow almost in in the uh in the streets What's even more crazy was college kids student protesters

[00:07:05] but the whole the whole of the country was was put on sort of a This kind of crazy chaos After weeks of peaceful protests by students looking to change the system Which reserved 30 of government jobs

[00:07:22] For relatives of veterans and those who were raped during the war of independence against pakistan in 1971 So the way it worked is um, you know how I found this out actually peter zion Peter zion. I've been watching him a little lately on youtube. He's good

[00:07:38] You should you should find him on youtube. I told you about him a couple years ago Um, and his book is on the shelf. It's called the end of the world is just the beginning

[00:07:48] For all of you china fights for all of you people who swear up and down china's going to take over the world You you need to read the end of the world is just the beginning to understand how blessed you are to be in america first of all

[00:08:00] um But anyway After this brutal uh War for independence against pakistan in 1971 the government basically said You know, we're gonna reserve a set of government jobs for For the veterans who fought in the revolution and and apparently people who were raped during the war also

[00:08:20] I didn't know that um But anyhow people who are you know veterans of the effort The government said we're going to be you know 30 percent Um of the jobs are going to be for you guys

[00:08:34] On july 15th activists of a student wing of the ruling party attack demonstrators Security officials opened fire using tear gas rubber bullets to quell the violence. You know this This was a protest and this was uh, what a protest looks like not in america by the way

[00:08:51] The quota protests posed the most serious challenged bangladesh government since prime minister she Hasina won a fourth consecutive term in the january elections the ruling awami league Party and opposition bangladesh nationalist party have often accused each other of fueling political chaos You notice anything that sounds familiar there?

[00:09:10] He got one side that's been empowered for four consecutive terms. I don't know what their rules are um And then you got a nationalist branch government officials including those at the bangladesh secretary at the top office cameo

[00:09:23] So the country's ministers and bureaucrats wore black badges tuesday to mourn 200 students 211 people were killed since july 16th thousands of others injured So you know when something like that happens in a place like bangladesh things get turned upside down they get turned upside down real fast

[00:09:48] and it's just bonkers that These things happen in countries the same time. I mean nearly fighting Fighting very similar battles to the battles that we're fighting that other nations are fighting right now and You hear nothing about it

[00:10:08] But what this did is brought brought her ability to make a living to a screeching hope For a short while And it's just a reminder of you know Living in a gigantic place like america having the capability to move having the capability to move up in society

[00:10:25] Make a living make multiple livings shield yourself from chaos, you know live in in A place where you can not only like avoid chaos, but then also quite literally Arm yourself and defend yourself in chaos

[00:10:42] We take all this shit for granted, you know most americans take all of this for granted they go This car in front of me is not going fast enough and i'm mad now and this is a bad day

[00:10:56] And i went to get gas and all the pumps were full and this is a bad. I hate this damn country. We need socialism This is just a reminder. This is a PSA, okay

[00:11:10] The PSA because I mean you know, honestly, I don't know what this is going to do Our goal was to have the second book out by the end of summer or in summer and nearing the end of summer

[00:11:18] We have a month. I don't know if it'll make it. We'll have to see The least of worries right 200 people dead nobody should be worried about oh god Well, no, we're not going to get the next world of red. It's going to be a great book

[00:11:29] But it's what's more important is the reminder that like you know just like that Just like that in another there's a lot of people moving abroad. There's a lot of people moving abroad

[00:11:40] Running from america. You don't know it, but it's going to be a big huge story probably in another year It's not the worst thing But there's a lot of people leaving I know this because I know a guy who runs a community of people who are leaving

[00:11:55] You know what I mean? Like he does a podcast and he runs a community of people who are who are all coming to him and going like

[00:12:01] Thanks for the podcast. I'm moving in this time. Thanks for the you know consult me. I want to move here. What should I do? People are heading out the cost of you know all the various reasons they're leaving

[00:12:12] And I think they're leaving with a full head of american steam And arriving in a nation they don't understand politically And from a threat perspective because we're all failed when it comes to that And they're hoping to live an isolated life an isolated

[00:12:30] life where things are cheap and and pleasure is cheap and It's just you know, this Bangladesh story was a reminder to me situations more than a story. It's a situation personally It's just a reminder of like how quick

[00:12:46] Smaller nations can be not just smaller, but how quick other nations can be flipped on their head And how much harder it is to flip America on its head for real Okay, speak my peace one threat one solution. Let's get into it

[00:13:20] So I got a story for you, but I also got instincts You know what? I mean, I got a story and I got instincts. I want to read it to you because it conveys a point It's from the gray man briefing

[00:13:30] But I also want you to understand that some of it doesn't sound right to me Now we for a long time how many years we're talking years now We've been talking about border crossings. We've been talking about people We've been talking about infrastructure attacks carl b

[00:13:46] Dave jones jferg all all people who have been saying something doesn't look right with all this infrastructure with these derailments with these boats with you know And we know there are enemies coming through at the south in New Jersey a man Andrew Taki stov

[00:14:08] Was arrested at new work Liberty International Airport after law enforcement say He plotted to target the electrical grid in the state Authorities report that he was also planning to travel to Ukraine to join the russian volunteer corps a paramilitary group

[00:14:25] The suspect is accused of soliciting another individual to destroy the electrical substation of public service enterprise group The criminal complaint quote alleges that the defendants posts of posts referenced a doff Adolf hitler encouraged violence against black and jewish communities praised mass shooters

[00:14:45] And discussed causing death and destruction on a large scale See I can't this is where things get weird to me According to court documents He discussed using a mylar balloons and Molotov cocktails for attacks and directed his accomplice and undercover

[00:14:59] Law enforcement agent to take photos of the substations for further planning So You know this The overarching theme here is The overarching theme in in all these threats is war equals off grid

[00:15:21] I know it's so hard for people who have woke up every day of their life inflict their light switch on and said Oh, the lights come on every time I hit the switch the lights come on like lab rats

[00:15:29] You know, I mean we hit the switch the light comes on we hit the switch the light comes on we hit the switch the light comes on That's where your life is The grid's in trouble The grid is in trouble

[00:15:43] The nation is large though. So it's a bit of a lottery. I think You know, I used to call it state level collapse Look around what do you see? I used to call it state level I used to say I don't know about this giant american collapse

[00:15:58] Anytime soon But I would look out for state level collapse. I would look out for and and all I was looking at and saying was You there are states that are run like shit. There are states where crime is allowed to absolutely fester

[00:16:11] Anything goes right law and order is kind of a you know, maybe And I figured you know and budgets were run up to death and just you know, chicago califor You know you name them And I thought to myself this this is what collapse will look like

[00:16:28] Collapse will look like state level State states going off the rails. Maybe even city level stuff that that is absolutely unbelievable Now, you know, I think the same thing is true about The power grids. I think in those state level collapsed situations area cities states

[00:16:54] Those are the places where we have to be careful about the grid the substations Where there are more people and more threats, right? It's kind of a no-brainer This guy was into a lot

[00:17:06] You know, this guy was into a lot the thing that doesn't make any sense about andrew takestov just in this short couple paragraphs is He wanted to attack the grid Then he wanted to travel to russia To join the volunteer corps paramilitary group Travel to ukraine rather

[00:17:27] Which doesn't make any sense because the reason russia showed up in ukraine was to fight back the nazi presence Or at least that was part of the reason they said in the beginning And then on top of all that it turns out he's also hates blacks hates jews

[00:17:42] loves mass shooters And any other list of things that would make american americans go get rid of them or whatever And of course, then there's that weird part about an undercover law enforcement agent became his accomplice

[00:17:56] We've seen a lot of that lately. You know, maybe that's just good work You know, maybe that's just good police work good work by the fbi whatever Um You know in terms of the the michigan situation I just think it's interesting I think it's a very interesting story

[00:18:15] You get down into the details. Who knows what the hell is going on the reason i bring it up on one threat one solution is because grid It's because options outside of grid need to be on your radar

[00:18:28] And look, I know some of them are expensive. Some of them are not expensive though You know of At the very least at the very least grid goes down You're worried about electronics at the very least as much as you hate your cell phone

[00:18:49] You should be able to charge your cell phone to full multiple times with no electricity They sell laptop batteries. They sell tiny little battery packs that are like 80 bucks 100 bucks um That will charge your cell phone multiple times Because your your cell phone is

[00:19:10] This is what your cell phone really is Okay If for 90 of people maybe more 95 of people listening Maybe 99 Your cell phone is your primary communications method That's what it is Incoming outgoing comms primary Your cell phone is your primary navigation tool

[00:19:33] You are an expert at using that phone more than anybody Any compass you own You know how to navigate with that phone more than any could so also It's also despite a nice library and so on and so it's also your primary reference tool

[00:19:50] You have a problem. You need an answer. You need whatever it is. Where do you go? You don't go well, let's go consult the dictionary Let's go look at the encyclopedia britannica for the answer No, you pick up your phone and go what should I do next? So

[00:20:07] It's important. We don't discredit the cell phones because we you know for the most part We use them to scroll videos and pictures and stuff but It's important. We don't discredit the phones and we understand look uh This is the deal man

[00:20:22] You know, this is the this is this is an important part of our life and gives us a lot of capabilities And if nothing else We got food stored. We got extra water for if the power going to water go out

[00:20:34] If nothing else you should be able to power up that cell phone because again, it is It is your primary tool for a number of of life Uh critical things All right I know sounds silly but it is what it is I had a discussion yesterday on instagram

[00:20:56] Uh about meat and fat And that's what I want to get into today We're going to discuss the power of meat mixed with fat On today's shtf chef, let's do it Now that is a delicious cut of long pork

[00:21:24] All right, so we had a question about rabbits cooking rabbits yesterday And I thought we discussed the concept of animal fat and Why you should have it? Probably one of the most overlooked preps of all is fat Truly

[00:21:44] And in our society everybody's running from a fat from fat right there like sticking themselves with those zempic needles I'm gonna be skinny and thin and cute Right all that all that kind of stuff um But the truth of the matter is man fat is so important and

[00:22:00] And here's here's actually my recommendation One is unbelievable. The other is all equally unbelievable but for a different reason You know butter delicious love it they make a great canned butter that I think I might stockpile as well What's it called? It's not yoders. That's bacon

[00:22:21] I forget look it up canned butter they make it You can go to safecastle.com and get it. I'll give them a little freebie um But butter is great, you know most oils suck Like most of the oils out there suck coconut oil is a great one

[00:22:39] I prefer things that last a long time and are mostly solid at room temperature or just below These things give you the most utility The top of the heap is like beef fat tallow Because it's so thick

[00:22:59] I don't know if that's the right word it hardens so well at room temp that kind of thing In the fridge, it's like Almost impossible to dig through it gets so hard when it's chilled So you know that in a root cellar situation

[00:23:15] You've got something right and you can cook with beef tallow. The reason I like these solid fats also Is because you can bake with them really well Like you can cream sugar for those of you don't know you the cream sugar mix sugar with fat

[00:23:31] vigorously until it gets pale Add eggs and then begin to add dry ingredients to create all kinds of different things That's just the process of creating most delicious baked goods cakes Cookies that kind of stuff cream sugar, right? You take regular old white sugar or brown sugar

[00:23:49] Or both and then you vigorously mix that into some kind of a fat that is softened. Usually it's butter Recently I've been using lard because it's superior in my opinion Beef tallow can be used also, right?

[00:24:10] So another reason I like to have that that solid fat is for that reason otherwise you're taking olive oil Which is too powerful of flavor To add to a lot of baked goods Or some other suck oil

[00:24:23] That doesn't work. You know what I mean? Because you can't really You can't really cream the stuff up very well Fat also for cooking You know whatever you cook your food in you're going to eat some of it

[00:24:39] So if it's canola oil, you know, you're drinking a little canola oil and that stuff's terrible for you Great for inflammation Great for bad knees and bad backs. You know, you can really put yourself into some pain if you're eating cheap oils

[00:24:56] Still I do in all transparency I do uh I most certainly store vegetable oil In mass Because of nothing else, you know I still got something to cook with

[00:25:11] Now animal fat is expensive. You know what I mean? It is it's expensive. If you render it yourself, it's better But you buy grass-fed lard grass-fed beef tallow. It's expensive. It's going to cost you but it'll be around a while

[00:25:23] So it's worth it if you got a root cellar somewhere to store it safely out of refrigeration Then you're really doing something good However, and it's not great for you It's really bad for you actually But it's worth mentioning because of the utility again

[00:25:42] Some things in our stockpile we're not going to dig into until the very worst case scenario And nothing is worse than having no fat to cook food in particularly if you're raising animals like you

[00:25:54] Well, then well no because even if you're raising chickens or if you're raising poultry Animals with little fat on them. You're not going to be able to render enough to meet your needs

[00:26:03] It's just that simple. You need some pigs. You need some cows to really render enough fat But anyway, um Crisco I don't even know what it is. It's like plastic. It's like plastic fat But at the end of the day It lasts it'll last forever

[00:26:23] I don't even know, you know, it's full of triglycerides. It'll probably pop your heart like a water balloon But it you know, we go back to pace we go to primary alternate contingency emergency Crisco is an emergency fat

[00:26:37] It's an emergency fat. It can be used as a candle. It can be used to help with burns You know, it's it is not good for you It's not something you want to be eating on a day-to-day basis right here and now

[00:26:48] But you don't want to be simmering and boiling everything you eat Right And you might want to whip up some cookies One Christmas during the collapse. Who knows When you mix fat with tender meat Slow cook meat makes it with fat Melt some fat down

[00:27:10] Stuff all your it's called the riette. It's called the confit in in french It's the process of really integrating meat with fat. Really it's more riette than anything else But when you mix fat and meat together tender meat fat and meat tender meat with fat mixed together

[00:27:31] Stuff that into a into a mylar Not in a mylar A mason jar stuff that into a mason jar and then melt more fat Pour it over top as almost like a lid to that jar Just below the lid line then you put your lid on

[00:27:50] You know once it all hardens up then you and cools down Then you have the protection of the fat from The fat will protect from oxidization of the meat and will preserve it And if you have a root cellar or if you can bury it in a cache

[00:28:04] Or if you can put it underneath the house somewhere where it stays cool You have an off-grid Protein container protein source that is also delicious You know you can put all kinds of salt in it for preservation

[00:28:19] You could put I wouldn't put too much else in it because that stuff could go bad You start chopping fresh herbs and putting it in there could go bad save that for when you're ready to serve it up um Put a little booze in it

[00:28:33] For preservation also and flavor a little you know a little bourbon all of that Goes into the jar the fat cap is what it's called on top That basically is your lid than another lid for another layer of protection, you know the actual metal lid

[00:28:49] And you've got something man. You've got something This is a uh The fat cap is a practice that we use in the restaurant world all the time We allow a fat cap to form over our stocks naturally when we make you know beef stock and things like that

[00:29:05] And it preserves the stock for longer time Don't sleep on your fat pbn family Don't be scared to acquire high quality fats animal fats are the best in my opinion an emergency

[00:29:20] Affordable emerge. It's not as affordable as it used to be but an emergency affordable fat source is crisco it is It just is what it is. You know what it is the the pros and cons But anything's better than nothing when you have nothing
