Major Member Update! Get Fit. Get Outside!

[00:00:09] Are Your Lizard Overlords? Stop Listening To These Preppers. Eat Your Crickets. Fight In The Streets. Own Nothing. And Love It.

[00:00:36] PBN Family, What Is Up? How Are The Lizard Overlords These Days? You Know, Mark Zuckerberg, He Seems To Have His Camouflage On Real Well. He's working. He's fitting right in lately, huh? Today's podcast is for the podcast audience. No video, me in the backyard. And I want to tell you guys about Comms Depot. They're our sponsor for today's podcast.

[00:01:04] Comms Depot is commsdepot.com, veteran run, active military run website that naturally came together in a way that's very important. It will become your sort of comms headquarters over the next year, I can promise you. And it's not, you know, it's because they're working on the easiest way to get your emergency comms situation handled.

[00:01:34] Not just through buying stuff, but through actual step-by-step things that will be released in the future. They do, they work with companies that I've long called friends. And they were recommended to me by Chin. And look, this happens more than you would think. More than you would think, these various groups of people wind up running into PBN members. And we wind up running into companies.

[00:02:02] And, you know, and before you know it, we're all gathering around and doing business. And this is just a thing. You know, it's a cream rising to the top thing. You know what I mean? That's just part of it. So, enjoy them. Check them out. Comms Depot. You can get your mesh-tastic over there. You can get your GMRS. You can get your ham. You can get your antennas, 3D printed accoutrement. Whatever it is you're looking for.

[00:02:26] I would say, even if you're very, very new to emergency comms and you want to solidify something, make Comms Depot a part of your plan and part of your preps. Great collection of American-made comms producers. commsdepot.com So, right up front, we got big membership news.

[00:02:54] It's really something weird that I had never taken advantage of until lately. Until today. First time. When we were on Patreon years and years and years ago. And for all those of you who are Patreon or patrons of other people. When they release something new, you get an email. And we never did that. I don't know why. And I think a lot of you miss out on stuff because of that.

[00:03:18] But, so, we have a mailing list for many of you who are members. And you guys are going to get, you guys are going to get the heads up. Every time something new is posted, I'm going to run it through our typical channels. And then I'm going to run it through the email. So, the members only email. You'll get an email every day. You should get an email today for the latest SHTF Chef that came out today.

[00:03:48] On the basic cure and the bacon making process. Really cool. We're harvesting videos from the live streams. And just clipping the SHTF Chef section. And really, you know, I'm telling you. Since we're doing it consistently in six months. It's like we're going to have a massive compendium of recipes.

[00:04:14] In fact, it's going to have to be organized eventually at some point. Which is fine. I like the membership website being organized. I think that's really where you get the value. But in terms of hitting you on a regular basis with content when it's fresh for the members. That's how we're going to do it going forward. We're going to make sure that we have an email coming out. Every time I post a new piece of membership content, you guys will get that email in your inbox.

[00:04:44] From me, James. It will come from the intrepid commander. Should be the from. So, yeah. Video will be embedded in the email itself. So, you don't even have to log in. But, yeah. Yeah. We want this thing to be seamless for you guys. You know, the members are essential. The members keep this thing going no matter what happens out there in the world. And we're ever grateful.

[00:05:14] And, you know, it's not easy. Right? Weird, weird feathers in the yard. It's going to be 70 some degrees today and we're enjoying that. I get the quails outside getting some sun. Sunning a little bit. And the chickens are roaming as well. We're doing all new garden stuff this year. The, I don't even know what this is. The quarter acre homestead. Something like that. Will be a bloom.

[00:05:43] Before long. You know, the strawberries will be popping. The horseradish will be poking through. The sunchokes will be poking through the dirt as well. It's just all the things come back. I'm not sure if my walking onion survived. I may have to do a new walking onion. I created a silly little thing for a project. A little water. Well, it's basically an atmospheric water generator.

[00:06:11] And this atmosphere of water generator is two wooden posts sunk into a raised bed wrapped copious amounts of plastic wrap. And it worked. You know, it did work. Like a lot of that, that section of soil beneath it was damp all the time. Here's the problem. It, uh, it kept my onions damp all the time. And I think it might have killed them. So, big up to no. I got, literally got two 2x4s that are maybe a foot or two apart.

[00:06:41] Sunk into a raised bed. I took a whole roll of conventional plastic wrap and wrapped up and down that, uh, those two 2x4s. And what was created is just, you know, a space that holds a bunch of condensation. And that condensation drips into the raised bed. I, but like I said, I think it might have killed off my onions. So, might have to redo those. No biggie.

[00:07:09] Um, gotta listen to Dave Jones from yesterday. Awesome show. Dave Jones and myself on Monday night doing something resembling a Preppers Live. I think going forward Preppers Live is gonna be, we're only gonna call it Preppers Live if we have three or more Prepper guests. From now on, I think Monday nights are gonna be dedicated to these interview shows. I'm having a lot of fun with them. Next Monday, we've got an amazing guest on. Whitney, don't know her last name.

[00:07:39] It's not in front of me, sorry. Um, put out a, put out really the best mushroom foraging book I've ever seen. And we're gonna have her on to talk mushroom foraging. And, I mean, it's, tell your friends, PBN. I don't know what else to say. I don't really know what else to do. Um, we just, I just feel like we have, uh, I don't know. We've really built something awesome. I don't know how many people want it. But we've really built something awesome.

[00:08:08] And, uh, it's, you know, it's a blast here at PBN. So, um, I don't want to go too, like, deep into membership stuff. Because I don't want to feel like this is a membership ad. You know what I mean? It's your call, PBNFamily.com to join. I'd highly recommend joining. I think in the, I think we're gonna open up lifetime membership to everybody too. I have heard a resounding,

[00:08:34] one resounding thing I've heard from our members is they want to get off of an annual billing and get on to a lifetime billing. And I think we may open that up to everybody. You know? You guys, I get it. You know, who the hell wants to worry about that annual bill? Not that it's, you know, mad. It's not a huge bill. It's $60 for the year. Um, but if you can pay once, you know, as Tim Cook always says, or the tool man, uh, you buy once, you cry once. You know? That's it.

[00:09:04] And then you get, you know, everything that we have built and are building on the membership side. Incredible stuff. Uh, it's just a lot going on, folks. You know? It's a beautiful day. It's a day for fitness. I hope you guys are getting, like, dialed in for outdoor fitness. Outdoor fitness time is here. Uh, the kettlebell stuff is really on my mind because the sun's out, the heavy bag, the running, it's all back.

[00:09:32] You know, it's all, you want to listen to the Changing Earth podcast? I'm sorry, the Changing Earth audio drama? Like, running to the Changing Earth audio drama is one of the best things, man. It's just so good. You know, it's hours and hours of a great story. All of your favorite voices are already in the story. It's so fun to listen to if you're not listening to it. And, uh, you can dig into that audio drama while you run and cover some miles and get yourself in shape

[00:10:00] and get out in the sun and stretch your body out and all that good stuff while listening to a great series. You know? It's a whole lot of fun. I predominantly run to audio dramas. They're just engaging. They're fun. It's a great way to get into walking and running. I mean, consistently. You know, and then you get excited. Right? You get excited. I mean, many times I've ended a run. Like a three mile in the heat, feeling just totally exhausted run and been like,

[00:10:29] oh, I should do, I don't have the energy to do one more lap, but I really want to hear what happens next. So then you put the phone down and you say, all right, tomorrow. Tomorrow I'm running again because I want to hear how this story goes. And it becomes a bit of motivation, man. It becomes a bit of inspiration and motivation. Don't discount inspiration and motivation. All right? I've been threatening a pregame kettlebell workout for all, for our rumbles, you know, our live stream videos.

[00:10:59] I've been threatening that. The motivation there is the same thing as I'm doing with SHTF Chef. I want to be able to clip those workouts, put them into our Prepper Fit and Health series, and then build another compendium full of, I mean, we've got a lot of stuff in Prepper Fit and Health already, but build another big set of, you know, videos for all you guys who want to get in shape, get strong, get endured, right, get better, get healthier, all that kind of stuff. Because, you know, the summertime to me, the spring and the summertime, you know,

[00:11:29] when it really starts to get nice out, this is like, I don't know, there's just something about feeling good and getting out in the sun and working out outside. It's like, oh, it's magic, you know? So, there's a lot to preparedness, I know, you know, emergency comms, emergency information, food storage, and all the bushcraft and foraging and all this kind of stuff. It's going to be foraging time very soon, too. All this stuff can be very overwhelming.

[00:11:57] But, you know, as far as I'm concerned, your health and wellness sits right on the top, right? It's right at the top of the list. Good luck foraging if you're, you know, diabetic and overweight and struggling with everything. You know what I mean? It's like, we're pre-diabetic and you can get out of it through good diet and good health choices. Like, it's, everything gets easier, you know? And you can rescue yourself. Make no mistake about it. My father-in-law, God rest his soul, was pre-diabetic.

[00:12:26] He was eating ice cream, drinking Coca-Colas, just destroying his body. And he took action. He took action. He started taking cinnamon. He started moving more, eating no sugar. And he worked himself right out of pre-diabetes, man. And he had many, many more years of life because of that. So, you're not as helpless as you think. I talked about this on Monday's podcast. The PBN, you know, morning news podcast.

[00:12:55] And, you know, it's just, it's all up to you. You've got to find the will. You've got to find the motivation. You've got to find the inspiration. Motivation. Probably 70% of my success working out and staying fit is motivation inspiration, you know? I dream that I'm a superhero slash space marine slash Dragon Ball Z character slash whatever else when I'm working out, you know? Or at least it gets me there.

[00:13:24] I think when it gets real hard, I dream about killing and murder fundamentally. And stopping it from happening to the people that are most important to me. You know what I mean? Knowing that I can push through this terrible, terrible workout. And it's going to put me in a better position to overcome whatever threats could ever really come to my family and me. So, yeah, on that glorious note, you guys have a great day. Okay?

[00:13:54] Go to pbnfamily.com. Check out the membership website. And become a member if you're not yet. If you are a member, let me know. If you didn't get that email, I'll get you on the list because they're going to be coming. Every time I post membership content, boom, email's coming. All right? So you get it. You get it. You get the chance to say, oh, I want to watch that. Oh, I want to listen to that. We're going to embed the content in the emails so that, you know, even if you don't log in or you haven't logged into the website in a while or you forgot your login,

[00:14:24] then boom, comes right to you. No problem. All right? And, oh, our sponsor, Comms Depot. Check them out. These are people who in six months are probably going to be well woven into the Prepper Broadcasting Network. And you'll be happy to be an early adopter. That's the best I can do for you in 15 minutes, PBN family. Enjoy the rest of your day. Get outside. And, yeah, that's where life's happening. See ya. Anything's better. Just for you. Thank you.
