[00:00:03] You're listening here to PBN. Your path back to stability here.
[00:00:32] Do you know the symbol? Do you recognize the symbol, PBN family? The upside-down sword is symbolic, and the tears or the slices, the scours, whatever. Tonight, we meet. The Continuity. Postponed from last week, and quickly brought back onto the schedule for tonight.
[00:01:01] For those of you who are unaware, go to pbnfamily.com, scroll down to the bottom. Bottom of the page, it's a lot. It's a lot over there. It's a big website, tons of stuff. And check out what is basically the rebuilding of society. You look at it that way, you know what I mean? It's a game, it's a thought experiment, it's a sort of survival simulation monthly.
[00:01:32] We'll take... Well, we're going to take a very interesting angle to this week. An angle that some, well, at least one of you knows about. Two of you. Some people showed up late to the continuity meeting last week, and I stumbled in there. And gave a little insight on how we're going to do this week's continuity. And it'll be fun. It really does require people, you know?
[00:02:01] So as many of you as can make it. In order to get into the meeting, you have to be a member. So you can sign up at pbnfamily.com. There are two options there to sign up. You'll see them. They're in bright blue with a little yellow link. You get signed up today and you'll have access today. It's that simple. It doesn't take anything. You don't need my blessing, nothing. Right? You sign up, scroll down to the bottom. There's a link down there. At the very bottom of the page for you members who haven't seen it yet.
[00:02:31] It's a relatively new edition, how we're handling the continuity now. There's a worksheet. Bring the worksheet. You don't got to print it out. You can print it out if you want. You don't have to. We're going to fill that thing out as we go. It's going to address numerous tiers of how society is run. Various things. Fill that out as we go.
[00:02:57] And by the end of the night, I'm hoping that we have a cheat sheet for the continuity of civility through a serious cataclysmic disaster. And we'll do a new one every month.
[00:03:10] I can tell you right now, month two will undoubtedly be the massive homeland attack here on the United States soil through a variety of methods and means used by terrorists. That's sort of what we've been focusing on for a long time. Now, what, four months, three months at least.
[00:03:37] And, you know, it's going to require a lot of thought. You don't think about it a lot, but imagine what your state or local would have to go through to deal with, you know, a multifaceted terrorist attack in your mid-tier city. Should you be in a mid-tier city at more than one location? Right. So, in other words, maybe not something as or maybe who knows, maybe not something as dramatic as 9-11.
[00:04:07] But, you know, a much more coordinated attack than just some dude driving into a crowd of people. Right. That's not going to be. Well, we won't be so lucky, I don't think, the next go. So, it's a rainy day. Rainy day here in Richmond. We got largely updates today, folks. Like, largely update stuff. It's a to-do list fundamentally for you.
[00:04:33] So, if you're, like, looking for cheap thrills, I don't know if this is the one for you. But if you're looking to change things about your day-to-day, if you're looking to upgrade your preparedness in big ways, if you're looking to be challenged, you want something to look forward to in the future. Just, you know, as opposed to, like, the back and forth of who's right and who's wrong, which dominates every single day anymore. Who's right? Who's wrong? I told you I was right. No, I told you I was right.
[00:05:03] And here are the facts. I got them from ChatGBT. So, you know, it is what it is. However you want to live your life. So, the continuity. Probably, I would say the continuity itself is worth the cost of entry for your Prepper Broadcasting Network membership. But there's much more. Let's real quick, real quick, and then we'll talk about Ration or Ruin.
[00:05:32] And if you didn't listen to my podcast yesterday about Ration or Ruin, I'm not going to go as deep. I did, I don't know, like 15, 20 minutes on the upcoming, really what will be the ultimate, like, personal survival challenge that you'll probably undertake. Much different than, say, like, a weekend survival course where you're learning to do things, make things.
[00:05:56] Like, really a sort of a lonely, lonesome struggle to see what your preps are capable of and really what you're capable of. You know? It's going to be a major test of your willpower should you choose to join us on that. Not for the faint of heart, not for anybody with any kind of medical conditions either. But, if you really want to see.
[00:06:24] If you want to see what all those Twitter posts and forum posts and, you know, all that bravado really adds up to. Try yourself on Ration or Ruin. Coming May. Okay? So, you got a lot of time to prepare for it. I have the link to that show down below if you're on YouTube or if you're on Rumble. So, you can, or you can just go to prepperbroadcasting.com and listen to the podcast from yesterday. The ultimate survival challenge, Ration or Ruin, is the title. Okay? Okay.
[00:06:53] It's a big one. It's going to be tough on a lot of people. Well, I don't know how many people are going to undertake it. Like I said yesterday, I would at least give it a week. Maybe you don't want to do it for a month. I'd at least give it a week. And I think you'll see tremendous benefits. You know, you'll just, it's going to cut right to the bone. That's kind of the cool thing about it, right? It'll cut right to the bone and you'll know right off the bat, I'm ready or I'm not ready for the worst case scenario.
[00:07:22] And by ready, I mean like you personally and also your stash. So, I'm at pbnfamily.com for those of you who are on video. And I'm just going to show everybody the entrance, the doorway into the continuity tonight. Just to double and triple up the sort of process. You know, so these are our membership series. Many of you watched them. Many of you are into them. We appreciate the support.
[00:07:51] Members, you guys make the world go round for PBN. This is not a thing. And then it's grown. The broadcast and the archives themselves have grown to the point where it's not really a thing that I personally would pay for anymore. You know, it's great. And that's a great thing. You don't want it to be a hobby forever because it won't last. But it's grown to the point now where it's a big bill every month. You know what I mean?
[00:08:19] And largely the members are the ones who pay that bill. So, thank you for keeping the archive alive. We could trim the archive away and watch it die, you know? But I don't know. I feel like seriously responsible for that. What is it now? 2018? So, it's a lot of years. You know what I mean? Seven years of podcasts. It's not just about our message.
[00:08:46] But, you know, these podcasts are personal journals that I imagine our hosts will share with their family and their kids and grandkids potentially. Just the sheer volume of podcasts like running through 2020 to hear the audio remarks, actions, plans, concerns, all of that week after week through a time like that is pretty wild.
[00:09:14] You know, particularly from our standpoint because we're always well informed and always kind of, you know, we're not looking essentially for a punchline or a laugh line or a clickbait sort of outcome. We're trying to figure out what's the best next step for us personally and then what's the best next step for everybody at large. And it's just, it was a crazy time in history. So, to be able to share that with the families, I don't know. There's definitely a sense of responsibility.
[00:09:44] And that we have the Next Generation Archive. For those of you who are new, you really should check out the Next Generation. Like, the Next Generation was the growing up of Colin Buford, Ryan Buford from the Rising Republic, largely watching his son week to week grow into a man. You know, and I can't think of anything more valuable than that. From Ryan's perspective and maybe even Colin's perspective, you know, when he grows up.
[00:10:14] I'm sure he'll get a laugh, you know, and probably have a ball, particularly when his father passes to be able to go back and listen to all those, you know, those podcasts from the past. Listen to the Colin, the crafty Colin fun fact of the day and all that kind of stuff. It's fun. It was a great show, man. But, yeah, we listen to Colin grow up here on PBN and that stuff can't go away. You can't, you know, well, we're not going to maintain that part of the archive. Sorry.
[00:10:44] There's no way. So, long story short, we appreciate you members. You guys really do make the world go around here at PBN. I'm sort of slow casing, showcasing some of the things that we offer here on the membership side. This is probably the most underutilized section. These self-reliance courses, we should have a lot more of these. There was a time when I said I was going to do one of these every month. And actually, I still have a food one I have to edit and get up here.
[00:11:13] And it really is a great one. The food network or whatever it is, the network of food something or other. I forget what I called it. But it really is kind of the way I look at the growing, the raising, the sourcing, the storing, the preservation, the trading, the bartering. There's just the many different tiers in my head on how they, you know, bring food into the home. And, you know, that's that.
[00:11:39] So down here at the bottom, all the way down to the bottom, if you're not a human stardust, what's going on? If you're not watching the podcast but listening, just scroll all the way down to the bottom if you're a member. And you'll see the continuity. And the continuity is the ultimate doomsday thought experiment. That's really what it is. And just so you know, it started out as like a really fun make fun of secret societies.
[00:12:07] And we probably will blend some secret society stuff into it once we get our legs here with the purpose. We had before we had no purpose and just a fun idea. And we went through various iterations. And now it's kind of come back to like, OK, what's the purpose? And then we can build, you know, then we'll hand out the cloaks and the hoods and the vials of blood later. You know what I mean? Human stardust, go to pbnfamily.com and sign up.
[00:12:37] Come join us. The Prep and Patriot will be there tonight. Yeah, we're going to have fun tonight. I'm doing a 30-minute podcast so that I can't be late for tonight's iteration of the continuity. And look, my continuity symbol here, you see this little symbol that I created all those years ago? So every piece of this thing has meaning. I'll break it down to you guys one of these days, maybe at the meeting tonight. But every piece of this thing has a subtle meaning and symbolism.
[00:13:08] But the symbol is so sweet that somebody decided to just plop it into their Twitter profile as their logo. You know. You know what they say, right? But imitation is the most sincere form of – what is it? I forget. I'm drawing a blank. Imitation is the most sincere form of – it's a compliment. Let's go with it that way. It's an old Chinese saying, I think. Oh, the most sincere form of flattery. That's it.
[00:13:38] Okay. So I'll take it. That's fine. What else? Ration or ruin? I think we kind of touched on it, right? We did the ration or ruin thing. I think we're pretty good on that end. If you want the full breakdown of what it is going to be, you're going to be hungry. Let's just go with that. You're going to be hungry. You're going to be eating a lot of survival food.
[00:14:01] And hopefully – well, rather than hopefully, you're going to be putting your real dirt and mud survival skills to the test to eat. You know what I mean?
[00:14:16] So whatever kind of – what I really like about this challenge, man, is first of all, it's going to give you a clear picture of what it is – what's going to happen to your body by eating the high-sodium freeze-dried food exclusively for a few days a week. And then it's also going to immediately test your skill set. Are you good at hunting? You know? Maybe.
[00:14:46] Maybe not. A lot of people in the prepping community are like, I'll just start hunting. You know what I mean? I'll just take my .22 rifle out and shoot squirrels or shoot deer or shoot whatever. And then I'll forage too. You know? I'll forage and I'll find the roots and the tubers and mix that in with the deer and mix that in with the berries and just be living. You know? We'll be living.
[00:15:15] I think it was – yeah, it was TJ Morris from Bear Independent. He had a great take on this. I mean, he still has probably the same take. I just don't watch him as much. I don't know if he even is on as much anymore. He's a busy guy. But his take on this was really, really good, and it was if you could forage and kill all your food, you would be doing it anyway. Like you would do that now instead of whatever it is you're doing.
[00:15:45] And I always thought that there was some legitimacy to that. There was some honesty to that. I liked that. I will tell you this much from my experience hunting, particularly hunting, and also from my experience fishing with people who haven't fished a lot. Excluding my – really excluding my wife and my – not really just excluding my wife fundamentally.
[00:16:10] Almost no one I've fished with picks up a fishing rod and is good at it right off the bat. You know? Like it just doesn't happen. It happened with Lady Liberty. It was crazy. It was immediate. I can remember like the first wading fishing trip that we took. And it was astounding. She caught a – I think she caught a striper in a creek. You know what I mean?
[00:16:35] So chances are like no matter where my head was at in our relationship at the time, that was probably like – on the shallowest of levels, that was like the defining moment. Like probably marry this lady. Like she's just casting a bass assassin around, you know, having not really fished much her whole life and pull a striper out of the Chester Creek in Pennsylvania, which is – just doesn't really happen. You know what I mean?
[00:17:03] I fished to Chester Creek my whole life and caught like two or three stripers. They come up – like they sparsely come up from the Delaware River. Like sparsely. You catch me and my dad would catch me. We'll be like, oh, those stripers are up. We got one. Oh, my God. It's amazing. Pretty funny. Anyway. So anyhow. You didn't get no notifications from the monsters over at YouTube? Tsk, tsk, tsk. I did get your comment over at YouTube though.
[00:17:33] I got the notification about your comment, Firewolf, in chat. So anyhow. My experience with hunting and fishing has been that if you don't have experience, you're not – it's not a light switch. You know what I mean? It's not a thing where you're going to be like, I'm a hunter now. I'm going to go kill stuff. I was actually having a comment with – a conversation with future Dan because we'll be – ration or ruin will coincide with some hunting seasons, mainly turkey.
[00:18:03] You know, and we were figuring out like should we go out and do some turkey hunting together. But the big problem with turkey is they got better eyes than you. I don't care who you are. That's the biggest struggle with turkeys. They're sneakier than you and they got better eyes than you. So if you think that you're going to traipse around in a new spot and – or even in an old spot. Like there's not really much traipsing. You're not stalk hunting turkeys.
[00:18:33] You fundamentally have to scout an area, find out where they are, and sit on that spot and pray. I've done all of that. You know what I mean? I've done all of those things. And I have – in scouting, I have walked up on turkeys and watched them disappear into the woods.
[00:18:55] Walked up on them in a field line at Breary Creek Lake and watched them see me slowly approaching and they slowly backing into the woods. And then once they're in the woods, it's, you know, good luck. So just one of those things, you know, to consider. What I like about the challenge, again, is you wake up on the day that is forage and hunt day to eat. That's your only option to eat.
[00:19:23] And you go, well, wonder how many calories I'm going to come away with. Prep and Patriot said, Turkey's been hanging out in my backyard off and on for the last two years. The self-control not to break out the bow and deal with it without no unknowing. Oh, yeah. I mean, I would definitely – 100% I would have shot that turkey already.
[00:19:52] You know what I'm just – you know, it's not an admission here or there or an accusation or anything along those lines. I just know I wouldn't be able to deal with it. There was a time in my life, guys, where I was dreaming about turkeys. I was thinking about us going out and trying to hunt them and sucking so bad that I was having dreams of prepping Patriot's backyard. Like, I was having dreams of looking out my bathroom window and, oh, my God, there's a flock of turkeys out back. I can get one.
[00:20:21] Hunting is not easy. Bow hunting is really not easy. I could talk for an hour about failed hunts for real. But that's what I like about the ration of ruin challenge. You know what I mean? It becomes a matter of what are you going to do in the face of all of this? What are you going to do? So I'm not going to go on and on, folks. We're 20 minutes in. We've got a show tonight.
[00:20:46] We're going to have Mike Sieglander on with us from the – it's not the American Warrior, the Everyday Warrior podcast. The Everyday Warrior podcast. He's a shooting specialist and has a lot of great sort of thoughts about self-defense and responsibility, discipline, those kinds of things. It's going to be a good conversation. I mean, he's the type of guy. I listen to a bunch of his podcasts. I found him – how did I find him?
[00:21:14] I think I found him like perusing X or something like that. And he just seemed like one of those guys that you could pull into the Prepper Broadcasting Network and it would be seamless. You know what I mean? So he'll be on tonight, 9 p.m. Eastern. I'm going to try to wrap that up 30 minutes, 45 minutes max. It's going to be a good conversation for sure. And then it's off to the continuity. Off to the continuity, folks.
[00:21:42] And the only thing I'd ask other than that out of you guys from today's show is to head on over to LimatangoSurvival.com and support Limatango. Oh, you know what, though? I think they are still running the MRE bag promotion at Pack Fresh USA, our sponsor PackFreshUSA.com.
[00:22:43] Oh, the Patriots saved the show. He saved the show. Wow. Thank you, my man. I took myself off stage rather than just taking my picture off. But anyway, PackFreshUSA.com. Go check out the MRE bags. I think they're about 20% off, something along those lines. Cool, cool little size Mylar bag. Great for like camping meals, that kind of size thing. You know what I mean? So, yeah.
[00:23:12] If you want something a little more hands-on, a little more than just watching YouTube videos or watching some guys, you know, picks for top 10 survival list items that will be gone in a collapse. If you really want to see what it's all about, join the membership side of things at PBNFamily.com. Because, you know, these are the things that we do. You know, we've upgraded over the years and we've become, you know, this is what we've become.
[00:23:41] We always do these challenges. We always have our prepper camp event. We always do our routines. I know we're supposed to be doing our run for life right now. And run for your life is not really happening in April. So, just get out and run. Do yourself a favor, right? But head on over to PBNFamily.com.
