[00:00:00] A person who advocates and practices preparedness. One ready for any event that will disrupt their daily routine. That is a prep app.
[00:00:25] Hello, hello, hello everyone out there in internet radio land. This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy. I'm coming to you semi-live from Sheetz.
[00:00:35] I'm getting the car inspected so I had to come over here to Sheetz. Got to do all that stuff while I got the time off, you know, from school.
[00:00:45] Teaching History. Hey, a couple things I wanted to talk about today. It's kind of a hodgepodge, a rambling if you were.
[00:00:54] James talked yesterday about men can't handle rejection. I got to tell you, I lived on rejection. Rejection was my middle name.
[00:01:04] It's almost like I thrived on it. And he's right. That salesman pitch. You got to have that pitch, man.
[00:01:12] You got to be able to put your best product forward. And for those of you who've actually met me, you know what I'm talking about.
[00:01:24] I was quite the salesman in my day and I was able to sell the product. Anyway, enough said about that.
[00:01:32] I think we're raising a, I need more energy drink. My energy drink of choice is full throttle.
[00:01:46] Uh, they do something for veterans and it's one of the only energy drinks that actually works.
[00:01:52] So, uh, I think we're raising a generation that had it too easy.
[00:02:00] That we've tried to take all the pain and suffering and discomfort even out of this, um, generation's life.
[00:02:14] And they know no other way.
[00:02:16] And isolation because of social media, which is neither, neither thing.
[00:02:24] It's neither media nor social.
[00:02:27] It's anti-social and it's misinformation for the most part.
[00:02:33] Uh, I don't know how many times every week I have to tell someone that's not true.
[00:02:39] Uh, just because it's on the internet doesn't mean it's true.
[00:02:44] And the, this has destroyed this generation social skills.
[00:02:52] The skills that you need to interact personally with other people.
[00:02:59] And I'm as guilty of it as anybody.
[00:03:03] I have kids growing up, uh, even my 27 year old Alex.
[00:03:09] Uh, he prefers the convenience of Uber and deliver, get everything delivered and no social interaction whatsoever.
[00:03:21] Uh, I don't know.
[00:03:24] I don't know.
[00:03:25] I don't know what the answer is.
[00:03:27] Well, I think the, the cure is going to be World War three.
[00:03:32] Uh, every generation is tested and this generation will be tested in a way previous generations have never been.
[00:03:44] And wow.
[00:03:48] Uh, the way in the time of giving thanks, right?
[00:03:51] You should, uh, you should take the time to count your blessings today, PBN family.
[00:04:00] Uh, and if I could ask you to say a quick prayer for my neighbor, Larry, he's having some health issues.
[00:04:08] And, uh, gosh, he's my number, number one guy in my group.
[00:04:15] I mean, he's, he's the guy I'm, I'm going to, uh, you know, if you're doing 12 hour shifts, I'm on for 12.
[00:04:25] He's on for 12.
[00:04:27] So, Larry had some, some bad medical, uh, news handed to him and he's going to have to go in for surgery, uh, in December.
[00:04:41] Uh, so please say, uh, say a quick prayer for my neighbor.
[00:04:47] He needs all the help he can get.
[00:04:50] And, uh, the other thing is yesterday when I was saying about the, the go to list, uh, you could sit right down right now.
[00:05:02] And, and think about the preps that you have and what you'd like to top off.
[00:05:10] You know, if it's, if it's get another case of water, uh, you know, water where we are, isn't, isn't the problem.
[00:05:18] Everybody is going to have a different thing.
[00:05:21] I tend to go to energy.
[00:05:26] Yeah.
[00:05:27] Energy and, and other things that you can do small little things that get you more ready, more ready in a short period of time.
[00:05:39] Uh, you know, and this takes the anxiety away.
[00:05:46] Yeah.
[00:05:47] Anxiety way.
[00:05:49] So that's, that's what we're doing here at the Jones homestead.
[00:05:53] We're leaning forward.
[00:05:54] You know, I, I think I said on a couple prepper lives back that a great time to attack would be Thanksgiving.
[00:06:05] Uh, just like Pearl Harbor was, uh, Sunday morning before eight.
[00:06:14] There's a reason for that.
[00:06:15] Uh, the military was unprepared and, uh, Thanksgiving, more people travel than even at Christmas time.
[00:06:25] So it would be a, a time when, well, not, not to get your, your prepper sense in an uproar, but I'm just saying this Thanksgiving.
[00:06:39] Maybe that's why I'm, I'm so, uh, my prepper sense has been tingling since the election.
[00:06:47] Uh, and I don't know why.
[00:06:53] Yeah, it could be nothing.
[00:06:55] It could be just the thought of, hey, that was too easy.
[00:06:59] I thought there would be more chaos and more, uh, you know, demonstrations and people going nuts that they just elected Hitler.
[00:07:09] But it hasn't been that way.
[00:07:11] So I don't know.
[00:07:13] I don't know, PB and family.
[00:07:16] I do know this.
[00:07:18] Ammo squared is a great product.
[00:07:21] And if I got to put a plug in for someone, ammo squared.
[00:07:26] Hey, and James said the catalog is going to be out, man.
[00:07:29] I can't wait to see the catalog.
[00:07:31] And there's always some great deals in there.
[00:07:35] And, uh, yeah, I can't remember what I ordered last year out of the catalog.
[00:07:45] Chin in the back channels always helps me spend my money.
[00:07:48] He sends me stuff that is such a heck of a deal.
[00:07:52] You can't, you can't not, you know, get it.
[00:07:56] Uh, I can't remember what it was.
[00:07:59] I remember I got a Jackery one time because he sent this deal in the back channel.
[00:08:05] And so now I have a Jackery.
[00:08:08] Those little power, uh, solar power things.
[00:08:12] They're, they're really great.
[00:08:13] I mean, for, uh, you know, camping out trips, things like that.
[00:08:23] I also have a big solar generator from Zero Point, uh, when they were a sponsor.
[00:08:31] So I have a couple of different solar options.
[00:08:35] I'm looking at, uh, getting a couple more solar panels.
[00:08:39] I have 100 watt panels, uh, with inverters, uh, or charge controllers, I mean.
[00:08:48] Uh, so I can set up like five or six, uh, different little charging stations right now.
[00:08:56] Um, and I really think smaller is better.
[00:09:03] Uh, you gotta limit your amount of use of electricity, uh, so that you can get to a point where you
[00:09:11] can generate your own.
[00:09:15] So, uh, if you want to really, truly be able to get off grid, that's the first thing you
[00:09:20] got to do is limit the amount of electricity that you need.
[00:09:25] Yeah, so PBN family, I'm going to sign off here.
[00:09:28] I am going to go hunting.
[00:09:30] I'm going to hunt a deer, uh, this while I'm off.
[00:09:34] Uh, hunting for me is mainly just going in my backyard.
[00:09:38] So it's not like I can go, I go far, far away or anything like that.
[00:09:44] Uh, but I do, uh, sometimes use the old man's property of 75 acres up on a mountain.
[00:09:53] Uh, but I, I won't do that this year.
[00:09:58] Okay, PBN family, take care and prep on.
